Separating “Ought” from “Is”
Hume tells us the way things were doesn’t tell us the way they should be. We’d agree. Just because paper has always been made from the pulp of wood, doesn’t mean it always to has to be.
Function should always outrank form. So we think the paper of the 21st century should be calcium carbonate.
Because it’s the present. It should be better.
Redefining paper for the 21st century.

Rock beats paper.
To make paper, you make waste. There’s acid. Chlorine. Sulfates. There’s destruction.
Karst begins where this principle ends. We knew more sustainable could also be more durable.
And this led to smooth and waterproof.
If there’s a better way to write, we’ll let you know.
